NAME
- Gav and Stephie

Our awesome challenge for C12 is to do a 190ftAbseil off a cliff!!! We’re pretty excited about this as we have only ever done small abseils at Centre parks and I think this will be somewhat different to the small block of wood they have in the play area for the kids. It’s difficult to train for this challenge, so I just have to not back out when it comes to jumping off a cliff and abseiling 200ft, however the reason for doing this is for a great cause

THE CHARITY

It’s the Bobath Centre for children with Cerebral Palsy, and it is a great organization that helps kids and their families. The Bobath Technique is a unique approach to treating physical ailments, and is something as physiotherapists, we have some experience in, but the work these guys do is incredible every day, so we want to do as much as we can to help them raise money to continue their great work.

The Bobath Centre uses a combination of physio, occupational and speech & language therapy that is individually tailored to meet the specific needs of each child. In addition, they train therapists working in the NHS or abroad in the Bobath approach who then go back to improve the lives of children in their communities.

All treatment at the Bobath centre is subsidised or even free if a family is unable to find fundin, so by helping us raise money and supporting the Bobath Centre you will be helping to give children with cerebral palsy the opportunity of having a happy, healthy and fulfilling life
