THE CHALLENGEBlanket Forting Challengers
Andy Connolly - James Frecknall - Nita Patel - Nqobile Ntombela - Garth Taylor - Patrick McKnight - Laura Dickens - Richard Crone - Scott Insley - Joanna Senez - Ayla Akdemir - Joey Aonso - Jenny Vass Thank you to the students, teachers and friends of North London Collegiate School as well Benchmark Scaffolding, Mace Group, Careys PLC and our witnesses and surveyor! So what is a blanket fort? Simply put, a blanket fort is a basic framework covered in blankets, the likes of which children the world over will have made and still make today. In other words, think of a den. For this slightly amazing and ridiculous challenge, we will be attempting to make the world’s largest blanket fort in a 24 hour period, to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The record attempt will mean that we need to construct a 600ft blanket fort out of blankets and various materials. This will take place at the North London Collegiate School as part of their Summer Fete, with the students helping as part of Challenge12Ed |
THE CHALLENGERNAME - Challenge12 Team The C12 Team wanted to continue to push the boundaries of what a "challenge" is or could be perceived to be. This seemed like a great opportunity to combine a challenge with the C12Education side and help promote an incredible worthwhile charity. Over the next few months, the C12 Team will be trying to secure funding for this project. |
Thank you to the students, teachers and friends of NORTH LONDON COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
THE CHARITYSTARLIGHT CHILDRENS FOUNDATION
Starlight is a small children’s charity which has a massive impact on the lives of seriously and terminally ill children and their families throughout the UK. We are the only children’s charity delivering services into every children’s ward in hospitals and hospices throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.This year we will help over 500,000 poorly children. We are there for these families in their time of need, lifting children’s spirits in hospitals, making dreams come true, strengthening family bonds and creating happy memories for everyone to share and cherish, whatever the future holds. We know that happy children respond better to treatment and each year we help over half a million children to forget about being sick or stuck in hospital and simply have some fun PROUD TO BE SUPPORTING
