NAME - Ali Hartley

Two stories, one cause...

In 2009, my father was informed that he had an aneurysm. He was sent to Addenbrookes Hospital (Neuroscience's), where - to cut a long story short - they performed surgery on his head to clip the aneurysm. The hospital and its team were truly wonderful and on behalf of my family we cannot thank them enough for performing such a tremendous operation and saving his life.

In 2011, my 'honorary sister' gave birth to a precious baby girl, Eloise Adele Cheshire. She was born at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge on 14th July 2011, 16 weeks too early. After a very brave fight baby Eloise passed away on 19th July 2011. A year on, another little miracle baby was born at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. Little Howie, mum & dad are all doing well. We cannot thank the Rosie Hospital enough for all the support, care and dedication they have given over the last two years.

THE CHARITY

ACT is an independent registered charity for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Addenbrooke's and the Rosie Hospitals, Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) is dedicated to making a difference to improve the experience of patients, their families and the staff who care for them.

All money raised will be equally split between the Rosie Hospital and the Neuroscience's department.
