Coasteering usually a wet activity involving swimming and jumping from height into water as an integral part. This is a great although exposed venue. Situated on the Bristol channel with views to Devon, this area has the second highest tide range in the world (12 metres). Start and finish times will relate to the tides for the day. http://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/coasteering.htm |
THE CHALLENGERNAME - Alec Taylor
I'm Alec, I'm a long-running Challenge12 participant and general, and it's a pleasure to be back involved this year. Every year C12 goes from strength to strength and now has a real sense of identity and staying power, to make even more difference to those in need in the UK and around the world. I'm glad not to be going any more long walks though. |
THE CHARITYThis year, we're raising money for a fantastic charity called Kick4Life who are using the power of sport - in particular football - to help young people in Lesotho with health education and HIV prevention, in a country where the prevalence of HIV is almost 25%. 100,000 children have been orphaned by HIV in a total population of 2 million. We've seen first hand their good work in Lesotho, a beautiful country deserving of greater status in the world.
