About Us
In 2012, Challenge12 was created as a way to encourage people to challenge themselves, simultaneously raising money for worthwhile charities and causes and promoting the community and showing that everyone can help make a difference.
Challenge12's first year, organiser Andy Connolly was joined by Paul McKeown in successfully attempting all 12 challenges. By December 12th 2012 the year target had been beaten, with the total reaching £12,736.16.
The second year began on January 12th 2013 and Andy and the newly formed Challenge12 team looked at what worked and what didn't work in the previous year. The most important change is that rather than 12 charities picked at random, 12 individuals (or "Captains") would be asked to take responsibility for each challenge and to do so for a charity that meant something to them. They would bring their family and friends together. This meant that Challenge12 would be representing 12 small communities.
Our fifth and final year ran between August 2016 and August 2017. We changed things slightly by aiming to raise £20,000 for just one charity: Holy's Home for Children. This money has helped create a self sustainable orphanage in Ghana and we could not be more proud of having supported such a worthy charity in our final year.
Challenge12 wouldn't work without the hard work and dedication of every single person involved with it, from the team organising this to participants to those who donate and support at events. Thank you to every single person einvolvefd
Thank you
